Pounce Check

A fast safety read on every launch, built from public on-chain data. The rules are published here so you can judge them yourself.

What it looks at

  • Holders: the top holders of the token. Pools, lockers, launchpad and token contracts are excluded from holder shares.
  • Early trades: who bought in the first blocks and whether the creator has sold.
  • Launch settings: whether liquidity is locked and whether socials are linked.

Signals and thresholds

SignalHow it is measuredCautionRisky
Bundles3+ wallets each holding the exact same share (to 0.01%), each ≥ 0.5% of supplyAny bundleBundles hold ≥ 20%
Dev holdingsCreator's current share of supply≥ 10%≥ 20%
Dev sellingTokens the creator sold vs. bought> 5% sold≥ 50% sold
Top 10Share held by the 10 largest non-market wallets≥ 40%≥ 60%
SnipersWallets that bought within 3 blocks (~2 s) of the first trade5 or more—

Verdict: any Risky signal makes the token Risky; otherwise any Caution signal makes it Caution; otherwise it is Clean. Locked liquidity and linked socials are shown as positives but don't change the verdict.

Holder tags

On a token's Holders tab, wallets are tagged dev, bundler or sniper, and market accounts are tagged pool, locker, launchpad or contract.

Coverage and freshness

  • Launchpad tokens only. New launches are re-checked every minute, active ones every few minutes, quiet ones when someone opens them.
  • Early-trade history comes from the launchpad (latest 500 trades on nearly.trade, 200 on Shards) plus Pounce's own index, so very old or very busy tokens can miss their first blocks.
Pounce Check is an automated signal, not an audit. A Clean token can still go to zero, and a Risky label is not an accusation.
